Irregular Magazine — editorial design

Irregular is a German skateboard magazine, based in Munich, Germany. The magazine is published four times per year and features professional skateboarders, trips and events on about 128 pages, with a lot of photographs by Fabian Reichenbach.

Art director Stefan Gottwald chose a combination of the Spitzkant and Ardena type families for all the editorial design. He combines the fonts in very different and playful ways for headlines and copytext. Each article gets its own look and feel, in a very modern and high-class way. You can see a mix of the issues here.
